FFC Travels to Stanford Opener by Bus
Fasani Fan Club was in full effect Saturday
08 SEP 01 -- (Palo Alto, CA) The Fasani Fan Club (FFC) chartered a bus
from Visalia, CA today en route to Stanford Stadium for the opening game of the
2001-2002 football season. Approximately 45 members of the club made the
journey to support Randy Fasani, the starting quarterback for the Stanford
Cardinal. Amazingly, more FFC members were already waiting at the Palo
Alto campus when the bus arrived. Suzi Torres, co-founder of the FFC said,
"We just wanted to make sure everyone had a ride to get here."
Marilyn Fasani, mother of Randy and FFC member, stated, "Some people have
compared [Randy] to John Elway."
Fortunately, the Cardinal Football team cooperated with the
celebration by defeating the Boston College Eagles. Stanford was led by
Randy Fasani who threw for 4 touchdowns and 232 yards. About the
performance, "special" five year FFC member Jonathan Zulik commented,
"Randy's the bomb. Teyo's a peeeee-imp." In other words,
the day was a total success.
